Hand Crafted by Steve Boysey

Ashwood Estate 2014 Chardonnay

The 2014 vintage the finest, hand-selected grapes were used in the making of this wine. The grapes were gently pressed then slowly matured in French Oak barrels, to produce a rich and creamy Chardonnay with white flower aromas and well integrated peach, grilled citrus, vanilla, nutty oak, and buttery characteristics.

On the palate is a complex and layered flavour, starting with elegant and fresh nectarine stone fruits and following with pleasant mid-palate creaminess, lengthening to a citric grapefruit finish. This wine will continue to develop favourably through 2016 and 2017 and will integrate over this time and gain in richness and complexity through to 2020 and will only improve with cellaring.

Ashwood Estate 2014 Blanc de Blanc

This limited edition sparkling wine is an exciting addition to the Ashwood Range.  Named 'House of Ashwood', the label depicts the home of the McPhail family and the Ashwood vineyards.

For this Methode Traditionnelle, specially grown, hand picked grapes were crafted by Steve Boysey in a manner that harks back to that of traditional French Champagne.  The result is a delicate and refreshing Vintage 2014 Blanc de Blancs, that has set up on a path of making sparkling wine for generations to come.  Perfect for every and all occasions.  Serve chilled.

Ashwood Estate 2017 Pinot Gris

This Pinot Gris is a succulent wine reminiscent of the highly sought after, textural and opulent styles of Alsace, France, but with the  “New World Pinot Gris", vibrancy of aromatically pure  varietal fruit characters. It is clean, fresh and full. The naturally blushed skins of Pinot Gris have given this pale lemon wine a copper tint that is reminiscent of our beautiful Gisborne sunrise!

Tropic fruit salad aroma with notes of yellow stone fruit, honeysuckle and nashi pear. It is medium-dry to taste full of bold spiced pear and honey flavours. The wine finishes vibrant and clean making it a perfect match for spicy Asian cuisine and rich seafood.
