Process Engineering Electrician

Due to expansion we are looking for a Maintenance electrical fitter to help with preventative maintenance within our new multimillion dollar salad plant as well as our other sites. This will be a very diverse role which involves projects, new installs, maintenance, and compliance of our food processing plant working within the process engineering team. Gisborne is a great place to live and work but is a little isolated so we are looking for someone with a diverse set of skills.  
Responsibilities include;

•    Preventative Maintenance to ensure reliability of the processing plant
•    Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns within the plant and implementing repair actions.
•    Investigating and repairing faults within the equipment production line to prevent breakdowns and increase production.
•    Liaising with the production team to ensure machinery is fixed in a timely manner and to also planning maintenance in accordance with production requirements.
•    Carrying out scheduled compliance checks.
•    Recalibrating instruments, oiling, cleaning and maintaining site equipment.
•    Project work, new installs

To be successful in this role:

•    You will be a NZ registered electrician.
•    Previous experience within a similar industry is preferable.
•    Clear understanding of food processing equipment and automated control. PLC experience preferable
•    You will have the ability to work under pressure and having excellent problem solving skills.
•    You will be reliable and punctual.
