Spinach - Supervisor and Operator

Interested in working at the sharp end of the horticulture industry?  In the summer our Spinach can grow in as little as 20 days, so if you are looking for a fast paced, exciting job, read on.

Of course, fast paced and exciting does require a lot of attention to detail in getting the job done perfectly, after all, we don’t have long.

We are working on becoming New Zealand’s best and biggest Spinach grower and we need to, as we have a big brand new factory to feed.  We are not quite there yet, maybe you can help us get there?

There aren’t many Spinach growers out there, so we know we are going to have to train you, but if you do have tractor driving experience or even Growsafe that would be a massive advantage.  If you don’t, as long as you are pro-active, productive, positive with a can-do attitude, hardworking and good with people (we work as a team), we will do the rest.

We grow Spinach year round in Gisborne, so this is a fulltime permanent role based in guess where, Gisborne.  Speaking of year round, we grow our Spinach outdoors so you need to be prepared to work in whatever weather Gisborne throws at us.

In order to become the biggest Spinach grower in New Zealand, we need a bigger team, so we are looking for two people, an operator and a supervisor, both need to learn how to be an operator to start with and as we like to promote within the business, if you end up not being chosen for the supervisor role this time round, you could be as fast as you and your development allows.  If you are chosen to be the supervisor, your career doesn’t stop there either.  In order to become the best Spinach grower in New Zealand, LeaderBrand needs you.

You will need to drive our equipment on the road, so applicants must hold a Restricted or Full Current NZ Drivers License, and you must be entitled to work fulltime in New Zealand so a minimum of a Residence Visa is required.

Applications close on Monday 15th January 2018, but don’t delay, if you are the person we are looking for, we won’t wait that long.

If you are interested in joining our team send your CV and Cover Letter to Bruce:
