Production Scheduler

LeaderBrand Produce is looking for a Production Scheduler to join the Supply Chain team within the LeaderBrand Fresh Cut salad business a market leader in the produce industry.

The Role:

Based in our Gisborne office, working alongside the production, sales and farm sides of the business you will be responsible for short term production scheduling in a fast moving environment and world class manufacturing facility.

Convert a short term demand forecast into an efficient production schedule, focused on optimal operational efficiency and waste reduction to deliver high customer service, high plan attainment and high plant efficiency.

Ordering and purchasing short shelf raw materials.

Using recipe based BOM’s and managing master data.

Providing recommendations to capitalise and take advantage of market opportunities and driving promotional activity with the sales department.

Working as part of a high performing and diverse team well experienced in lean manufacturing and driven towards continuous improvement.

Liaise with a variety of stakeholders.

Using high end NAV based ERP software.

Full time role with rostered cover across some weekends.

Essential skills:

The successful applicant will have the ability to think critically and provide creative solutions to problem solving as well as being able to make decisions on the go in a fast moving environment.

Good understanding of production planning principles and manufacturing processes.

Excellent Microsoft office competency: Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.

Attention to detail for accurate reporting of plan attainment.

Strong analytical skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience in a fast paced FMCH business, ideally in fresh produce or fresh product.

Working in a role that requires influencing and stakeholder management.
