Payroll Officer

We are looking for a full time experienced Payroll Officer who will be based at our new modern head office in Gisborne.

Your role

Your key responsibility will be to work alongside the current finance team in processing all aspects of the weekly payroll function accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements. This is a busy and varied role where you will be processing weekly payroll for a growing seasonal organisation, managing payroll documentation, preparing weekly PAYE filing, resolving payroll related queries as well as performing other essential roles within the finance function.

Required in the ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years in a Payroll Officer/Administration position
  • Data entry accuracy and a good eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good conceptual thinking, problem solving and decision-making
  • Propose Family innovative ways to improve processes
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • Previous experience using MYOB EXO
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
