Maintenance Engineer

Leaderbrand Produce Ltd is one of New Zealand’s largest and most diverse horticultural businesses with operations in Ashburton, Matamata, Pukekohe and a base in Gisborne. As a large scale farming operation we grow, pack, distribute and market a wide range of annual and permanent crops, as well as added value products for the domestic and export markets.

We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter who will be part of the Leaderbrand Process Engineering team and support our Engineering Manager.

Shift work will be required (two-day shifts followed by two-night shifts), during our peak season (November through to April). Shift patterns do change during the off peak season to support the production teams.

Applicants should hold themselves with strong respect and build healthy relationships between all departments of Leaderbrand. The common goal within the team will be high achievement and maintaining healthy and safety standards.

Experience and skills looked for are:

  • Manufacturing, food, dairy, pharma or processing/packaging plants; (HACCP, QA)
  • Preventive maintenance, planned maintenance
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems (MEX software)
  • Facilitate production alongside planned maintenance
  • Ensuring all routine service requirements are executed
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring operational compliance
  • Contributing to the achievement of Maintenance Best Practice.
